The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Pitt researchers $2.5 million to study the mental readiness and resiliency of military service members. Bradley Nindl, PhD,director of the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory/Warrior Human Performance Research in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and Anne Germain, PhD, director of the Sleep and Behavioral Neuroscience Center in the School of Medicine, aim to develop a comprehensive series of cognitive, behavioral and sensorimotor metrics to evaluate mental preparedness for military service.
