Getting the Most Out of Healthcare Visits: What Caregivers Need to Know About Talking to Doctors and Other Providers

Accompanying a loved one to a medical appointment or being at their side during hospitalization is one of the most important jobs that family of persons with memory loss can perform. Most caregivers recognize how vital it is for them to communicate clearly during their loved ones medical visits. However, it is not uncommon for caregivers to feel frustrated, misunderstood, or afraid to speak up to doctors and other healthcare providers. This panel of expert clinicians will discuss common barriers to effective communication during healthcare visits and hospital stays, and provide tops for healping caregivers to get the most out of their loved ones medical visits.

This interactive panel will feature: Geriatric Psychiatrist, Dr. Lalith Solai; Geriatrician, Dr. Rollin Wright; Occupational Therapist, Dr. Pamela Toto; and Pharmacist, Dr. Jennifer Pruskowsi.
