University Club, Oakland

We hope you will mark your calendars and join us for the Sixteenth Annual Department of Psychiatry Research Day, which will take place on June 9, 2016 at the University Club in Oakland.

Program.  This annual event features a morning poster session highlighting the findings from a wide range of research projects presented by faculty, postdoctoral scholars, residents, students and staff.  We are pleased to once again offer the popular lunchtime Roundtable Discussions led by Department of Psychiatry experts on a variety of research and career development topics.  The afternoon Speed Dat(a)ing session features presentations by Department of Psychiatry researchers on their latest findings and a keynote address by a distinguished senior scientist.  The awards ceremony at the end of the program will recognize the contributions of faculty and staff to the Department and the research community, and presentation of the Best Poster prizes. Networking opportunities abound on Research Day so that attendees can reconnect with colleagues, meet new people in the research community and share their interests.

Call for Abstracts.  The deadline for submitting an abstract for consideration for a poster presentation is April 8, 2016.  Individuals selected to present posters will be notified via email by May 2, 2016.  Please note that the first author of the abstract is responsible for submitting the abstract form and, if accepted for a poster, must be present on Research Day for the entire poster session.  Click here to download the call for abstracts and the abstract submission form.

Registration.  Registration is required to attend this event and will begin in April.  The registration form and instructions for registering will be posted to this page and the Research Day page of our web site in the near future.
